Anime sounded so 'alien' to me. My exposure to it is very minimal, probably because I dont belong to Generation-Y :)
The first one I've heard about is Initial D - well reason behind is because it stars Jay Chow. Though I like his music, I wasnt really attracted to finish the whole movie when it was shown in cable. I knew it was about drifting. After watching Tokyo Drift with a trashy theme, (sorry for those I might have offended), probably it will take some time for me to watch another movie about drifting again.
Recently I discovered this new series in CTS - Hanazakari no Kimitachi (HanaKimi for short). The storyline is a typical, girl likes a guy athlete so much that she crossdresses as a guy in disguise and studied in a guy-exclusive school to get closer to the guy athlete - a light romance and feel-good series. To find out more, just go to: http://niko-niko.net/hanakimi/

Next time I will be asked about anime/manga, ayan may alam na ako (makes me feel younger haha). I only watch 'real' people portraying the roles though, not really the cartoonic type.
Add ons:
Confession to make: One of the reasons I'm watching it is because the lead actor is sooo gorgeous. :) Look at the picture. Arrgh, this pose was taken in front of Pearl TV Tower last December (sabi sa forum where I got the pic) --- I missed it!
I like one statement he has in his blog: 'Life is like a taxi. The meter just keeps ticking whether you are getting somewhere or just standing still! So… remember to do something useful and beneficial everyday' --- awwwh bulls-eye, galing. And oh, if I have all the time in the world, I think I should write a book about parallelisms. hehe where would I find people who appreciate this?! :)
